Syma shares beautifully and with such openness and vulnerability about her a childhood in a strictly religious Muslim family characterised by the suppression of the feminine, where she experienced sexual and other types of abuse, and how she, through the grace of the Divine, found the courage to say 'no' to the hijab and an arranged marriage and 'yes' to secondary education that was forbidden.
She talks about finding the Goddess through Aphrodite at the age of 13 and how the Divine Feminine became an increasingly strong, guiding presence in her life, giving her permission to fully feel Sacred Rage as an embodied act of clearing and cleansing that leads to deep, powerful healing.
She also elaborates with such grace on the notions of sovereignty and awakened sexuality which honours our body temples that house the God/Goddess and the sacred pleasure portals within us and reminds us that heaven IS here on earth.
